Hello Shutterbugs!
Good morning, hope you are well—achoo! Well, better than I am, feeling uneasy like Sunday morning under the weather. Nevertheless, I write on, sniffling, with a box of tissues and a cup of tea ready to provide a bedside diagnosis of Black Friday. Far be it from me to complain if the great bargains show themselves before a mob of shoppers crowded the aisles conspicuously ready to trample over any weak person that seemed to be in their way. The deals (and photo ops) are calling. So, let’s dive in.

Quick Sunday Tip
For your next outfit of the day, #OOTD, try monochromatic photographs! Building a look around one color can create a beautifully cohesive whole with striking effect, not to say a boring monotone uniformity. The key is to use different tones of the same hue while keeping the saturation levels consistent. This technique adds depth and visual interest without feeling overwhelming—like a handsome, understated suit with simple details—tailor-made design in a fashionable style, both of photos and real life alike.
The below video showcases how I styled an outfit entirely in green monochrome. The result? A polished, eye-catching ensemble that photographed beautifully.
Shop the look: Loafers, Raincoat (similar), Skirt (similar), Shirt (similar), and Sunglasses.
Give a monochromatic autumn scene a try by dressing in any of various hues of one color. Let me know how the photo turns out—I can’t wait to see the unique variations you cohere with the base design! ✨
