Tune of the Week
The usual Sunday mood board turned down for “APT.” by ROSÉ & Bruno Mars. It played on a weeklong loop here, and we used the libretto as a soundboard.
For those who have not heard, let me tell you, the song is a total banger. The kind of party anthem you dance around your living room or office space and feel like the main character in. Just the vibe we probably all need right now ahead of Thanksgiving week.
Here it is: 🎧
Got a new song or an oldie you can’t stop listening to? Drop the beat in the comments! Maybe we can make a mixtape with a playlist of our fave tunes; a community jam session in app. 🎶 🤩
Secondhand Shopping: Luxury Priced Under $100: A Real Find!
The vintage thrift shop, having been almost perfectly preserved under the site of fast fashion for nearly 25 years, is proving to be a treasure trove of designer merch.
My theory is whether you have the money to pay full price or not, why not get more bang for your fashion buck? Any habitué of Goodwill together with nearly everyone else very much interested in secondhand shopping these days will tell you it is intentional and cool to thrift now, whereas in the 1960s and 1970s it was considered counterculture.
Each of these beauties cost a fraction of the price, but pay close attention to detail. Caveat emptor is a reasonable approach for many consumer products; especially: dealing in e-commerce sales. Note the pre-owned condition, sizing chart or measurement, and return policy for the listed item. The Web site I am loving of late does all that in the product description.
If you happen to be a thrifting greenhorn or just have begun your search as a bargain hunter online, remember these are one-of-a-kind articles and suchlike artifacts at a dig site, having all the archaeological information at your disposal is the only proven way to avoid the pitfalls of ignorance.
Personally, I love the thrill of finding a hidden gem and had great experiences so far. Here are a few of the thrifty fancy I discovered while browsing that caught my eye and might catch yours too!

P.P.S. I’ve been in talks recently about reproducing a silkscreen print of one of my exhibited works on a graphic t-shirt. The prelim convo spawned an idea for a picture writing. A unicorn given the voice of Holden Caulfield tells his side of the story as a photographic subject in a gallery. Read all about it in the newsletter linked below.
