As I scrolled through Amazon’s “Prime Big Deal Days,” something struck me. Sure, there were gift guides for tech lovers, homebodies, and fitness buffs—but where was the guide for the photogenic?
In a world where we’re constantly putting ourselves on display, capturing our best angles, and hoping the lighting gods are in our favor, it dawned on me: a curated list of products designed to make us not just look good, but feel good in front of the camera was long overdue.
So, I did what any self-respecting, camera-loving fashionista would do—I made one. Seven products, that’s it. Why? Because sometimes less is more. This list covers beauty essentials that keep you camera-ready, effortlessly photogenic fashion pieces, and the perfect gear to make capturing and storing stunning photos a breeze.
And just like that (saving you from hours of overwhelming scrolling)… here’s the list:
Portable Light: Like a painter needs paint, a photographer needs light. So, we all need a portable light. I find them especially useful at social events, where lighting can be tricky. This one slips right into a clutch and offers different lights intensity levels. You can get it here.

External Hard Drive: You need an external hard drive if you don’t want your computer to crawl to a halt from all the photos. And let me tell you, I’ve gone through a ridiculous number of hard drives, and 99% of them suck. But this one? It’s a favorite for two reasons: it’s super portable, and it stays connected even if I move my laptop a little—unlike most others. Get it here.
Lashes: Maybe it’s the Latina in me, but a fabulous selfie without lashes? Impossible. I always joke with my good friend Roberto Ramos (who’s an insanely talented makeup artist) that without lashes, there’s no paradise. For a full-on glam look, I’m all about Kiss lashes. But if you’re aiming for something more natural, KISS imPRESS is where it’s at. There's a bit of a learning curve because they go under your lashes rather than on top, but once you get the hang of it, they give you an incredibly full and natural look—no glue required.
Dyson Airwrap: I own it, and I absolutely love it! It makes styling my hair so much quicker on my photo shoot days. When you're purchasing, be sure to check the color specifications on Amazon—they actually indicate which option is best suited for your hair type. Dyson customizes the attachments based on your specific hair needs, so the right choice can make all the difference. It’s 17% off today, you can check it out here.
Trench Coat: A trench coat is one of the most timeless and elegant wardrobe staples. Pair it with a bold red lipstick, grab a friend, and hit the streets of your city. Bonus points if she’s rocking a matching look, but that’s up to you! Have her snap some candid photos as you stroll, and return the favor—that’s what friends are for, after all. Trench coat here.
Soft Sweater: I have this sweater in white and plan to grab it in brown, too. It’s insanely comfortable for fall/winter pics.
Protection is cool: A killer phone case for your mirror selfies? Absolutely. I love switching them up to match my outfits, but that’s just me—you don’t have to. The one I use the most is part of my own merch line (not on Amazon, though), but I also adore the wavy transparent case (pictured on the right)—it’s super aesthetically pleasing. If you’re all about extra protection, I’ve got you covered with the ultra-durable option (left photo). And for those who want a stylish fall vibe, check out these gorgeous cases here.
