My Instagram feed has been taken over by the “AI Doll” trend, and I’m guessing yours has too. Here’s an example:
Now, regardless of how I feel about AI, my job is to keep you in the loop on what’s trending. And I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t curious about what my action figure would look like. I was a Barbie girl, after all.
So I gave it a go.

I added details that represent my brand: a phone and ring light for my photogenic tips, a lipstick and minimal outfit to nod to fashion and beauty in photos, and a flower to reference the photo props I always recommend. Oh, and of course, I had to include a sidekick, my cat Oscar, obviously.
Note: I tried two different outfit prompts and got two very different results.

🎁 How to Create Your Own Action Figure with AI
1) Go to ChatGPT
Visit chat.openai.com and log in or create a free account.
2) Start a New Chat
Click “+ New Chat” at the top left of the screen.
3) Upload one or two photos
A selfie and a full-body photo work best.
Then type or paste this prompt (and feel free to customize it!):
Create an image of an action figure in packaging. Use this photo for the doll’s face and hair. The packaging should be labeled with [my name] in big letters and a subhead that says [a custom title]. Make the packaging [your favorite color]. I have [describe your hair, skin tone, eye color, and makeup style]. I'm wearing [describe your outfit, including shoes]. My hairstyle is [describe style]. Add these accessories: [list 2–6 personal items like a coffee cup, book, phone, lipstick, etc.]. Include a sidekick if you want [like a pet], and a charm necklace with the first letter of my name.
4) Wait for the image to generate
It’ll take just a couple of minutes.
5) Done!
You’ve officially been turned into a photogenic doll.
