New feature: subscriber chat
A private space for us to converse and connect
As of now, there will be a brand-new feature on my Substack publication. So here I am happy to announce the addition of Photogenic’s subscriber chat.
Now wait a minute, what’s the big idea? Think of a chat room apart from each feature newsletter, a real-time online interactive discussion group where you can browse and participate in the exchange. Suppose you want feedback on your candids and self-portraits, wish to bounce around an aesthetic idea, apparel or accessories of fashion, or simply hope to connect with like-minded individuals. Has anyone tested out this new cosmetic makeup? Where’s the best place to take in the sunset for a golden hour snap? How about snagging an Instagrammable moment with my shaggy dog?
We click along … each helping the other go faster than we could go alone, and knowing that even if one of us pulls away we'll regroup at the end—a little allegory of what makes a community work.

Get the Substack app by clicking this link or the button below. New chat threads won’t be sent sent via email, so turn on push notifications so you don’t miss conversation as it happens. You can also access chat on the web.
Open the app and tap the Chat icon. It looks like two bubbles in the bottom bar, and you’ll see a row for my chat inside.
