I Can’t Stop Thinking About the Outfits in Sirens. Here’s Where to Get Them
Is the Summer Aesthetic Everyone’s Copying
Hello Shutterbugs!
I had a terrible week. First, I sliced the top of my finger while cooking (pic at the end). Then, I went to a Paul Simon concert, where he played three hits in a two-hour set. To top it off, I got extremely sick, like, glued-to-bed-watching-Netflix sick.
In my pain-induced Netflix haze, I started watching Sirens, a short commitment, just five episodes. I thought it’d be dumb, but I was too miserable to care.
Turns out, it’s not dumb. It’s a dark comedy with sharp social commentary, exploring sisterhood (or the lack of it), power, and class. The cinematography is stunning, but it’s the wardrobe that really got me. The summer outfit inspiration are freaking fantastic, and I have to share them with you!
Let me catch you up real quick. There are three main characters in Sirens, and each has a vibe that shifts as the story unfolds.
First, there’s Michaela Kell (Julianne Moore). Billionaire philanthropist, queen of “stealth wealth.” Her wardrobe is flowing neutrals, silk sets, looks simple but very expensive, because it is. Think Chloé, The Row.
Then we’ve got Simone DeWitt (Milly Alcock). She starts off in bold preppy looks, bright colors, trying hard to fit in. As her power grows, the vibe cools: blues, sharp tailoring, sleek silhouettes.
Finally, there’s Devon DeWitt (Meghann Fahy). She rolls in like a storm: combat boots, tanks, smudged eyeliner. When she tries to blend in, she throws on a bold red Francesca Miranda dress. Rebellion, in designer form.
I’m going to focus on Michaela Kell because she’s the one I loved the most.
Let’s talk draped, flowy pieces
That’s her signature. Michaela wears a lot of white, flowing silhouettes that give her an ethereal, almost otherworldly look. These outfits would photograph beautifully at a pool party or a cocktail event.
In one scene, she’s wearing a white twist-front halter dress by Vince. While this exact version isn’t available, I’ve curated a few similar options with the same color and flattering neckline in mind.
Dress 1 is from REVOLVE here, Dress 2 is from Lulus here, and Dress 3 is from ASTR the Label here.
Using this dress as inspiration, I also found a few other interesting pieces, including dresses and a top.
Flowing burgundy dress here, top with a knot here, and a very elegant black dress here.

In another scene, she’s in this magical white gown from The Row, the Sparrow dress. It’s stunning. Here’s the link if you want to drool over it: The Row Sparrow Dress $5K (don’t come for me, I didn’t dress her, lol). Or in black (only one size left) Here.
I’ve curated a selection of one-shoulder gowns that will be stunning this season.
The pink one here, the deep green from Anthropologie here, and a discounted luxury brand option here.
Then there’s this white version here, the green one from Nordstrom here, and the opal dress here.
I also stumbled upon a dress that’s a bit different, but it has that same ethereal vibe and I thought it was stunning. See it here.
Workout cloth
I was actually wondering how a fan of brands like The Row or Khaite would dress for the gym, and this character gave me a great answer: definitely one color for the full outfit. Plus, these sets are a good price compared to other high-end pieces.
While the exact same colors aren’t available, they do have some other really cute options.

And this lilac top here and leggings here.
Thoughts?
Well, I have more outfits from Michaela that I loved, but this curation took way longer than I expected. If you want a part 2 of her looks, let me know.
This is the first time I’ve done a post like this, breaking down outfits from a show. Should I do more?
Any show in particular?
⚠️ RAW PHOTO AHEAD! ⚠️
Don’t scroll if you’re squeamish.
As promised, here’s a horrific photo of me in the ER after chopping the tip of my finger while cooking. I literally do this every day. I felt so stupid, but my family chat cracked me up with messages like “salad with extra protein” and “no one will guess her secret sauce.” Anyway… the doctor said I’ll be fine, it should heal nicely.
Alright, that’s all for now! See you soon!
xoxo
